Ben's Scholarship

This year (2024) will be our first year of fundraising to begin a scholarship fund in Ben's memory. This scholarship will go to underprivileged students who are pursuing degrees in the medical field, specifically medical school.

Tragically, Ben was not able to complete his ultimate goal of becoming a neuro-surgeon, but he was a hard worker with many talents and abilities and we are confident he would have succeeded. 

Ben received a lot of help from his workplace, Portsmouth Regional Hospital (where he worked in the surgical sterilization unit as a supervisor), as well as his school, the University of New Hampshire. He always expressed how fortunate he was for the opportunities he was given, and worked hard to give back whenever he could. 

We believe if he were able to complete his medical degree, he would have found ways to continue giving back. In that spirit, this scholarship and non-profit have been created to honor Ben's legacy and give back to those who are pursuing similar goals.

The healthcare industry needs dedicated, competent, and compassionate professionals who are provided the opportunities and financial security to dedicate themselves completely to learning their profession and helping their patients. We hope that this fund will serve to accomplish some of the goals that Ben had for his life, in service to healthcare and his community.
